Staff Training at WILD
Over the past two weeks, our amazing team has been diving into some fantastic training sessions!
Last night, Deputy Headkeeper and Education Lead Ben led a brilliant session all about our curriculum ethos and the four pillars that guide everything we do at WILD: Discovery , Inner Strength , Collaboration , and Responsibility .
We explored our exciting new outreach programme , looked at what’s on offer during Junior Keeper Days , and introduced our brand new volunteer tier system – designed to help volunteers build their skills and work towards joining our keeper training sessions. We also talked about strengthening our college and university partnerships to make placements and work experience even more meaningful.
Last week, Deputies Amber and Emily led a hands-on session focused on Zims , our record-keeping platform. Keepers practiced inputting different scenarios to sharpen their skills and make sure our animal records are accurate and up to date – helping us give the best possible care to every creature at WILD .
We’re proud to keep learning, growing, and working together to give our animals – and our guests – the best experience possible!
