Accessibility
What You Can Expect From Us
Accessibility is a top priority at WILD Zoological Park, and we are committed to ensuring all guests feel welcome and included during their visit. As a small, independent site nestled in a rural setting, some areas of the park feature natural, uneven, or gravelled terrain, which may be more challenging for certain mobility aids, wheelchairs, or pushchairs. We are continuously working to improve pathways and signage to make the site as accessible as possible while maintaining the rustic charm and immersive natural environment that makes WILD so special.
The main visitor routes are step-free, with clear pathways leading to the animal enclosures, show areas, and key facilities. Some pathways may be narrow or more challenging depending on the size of your motorised scooters and double pushchairs, We recommend that guests using these mobility aids take extra care and allow a little additional time when navigating certain areas.
We provide accessible toilets, baby-changing facilities, and designated parking spaces located close to the entrance for convenience. Seating areas are positioned throughout the site to allow visitors to rest and take in the surroundings at their own pace.
We also have wheelchairs available free of charge, subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserved seating is also available on request for our main shows throughout the day. If you require any of these services, we recommend contacting us by email in advance. Alternatively, please ask a member of our team when you arrive and we will be happy to check whether any wheelchairs are still available and reserve some seating for you.
Throughout the year, we also offer SEN-friendly, relaxed sessions for our Bird Show and Dinosaur Show, designed to provide a calmer and more comfortable experience for guests who may benefit from a quieter environment. Availability varies, so please contact us in advance or check our website for upcoming dates and session availability. Our team is friendly, approachable, and always happy to offer assistance, whether that means helping with access to specific areas or adapting experiences to meet individual needs.
Many of our animal encounters and educational shows can be tailored to suit guests with varying sensory, mobility, or communication requirements. We welcome carers at a discounted rate with proof of eligibility, and we encourage guests with specific access needs to contact us ahead of their visit so we can offer personalised support and guidance.
At WILD, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to connect with nature, experience awe-inspiring wildlife moments, and create lasting memories—regardless of age, ability, or background.
